Carlile Swimming and the Carlile Swimming Team prides itself on providing meaningful and appropriate support to swimmers throughout their training and competition journey. The swimmer support initiatives aim to provide a comprehensive suite of services to the athlete and coach, with the objective of developing the swimmers both in and out of the pool.
Forbes and Ursula Carlile Scholarships
The Carlile Foundation provide support to identified swimmers through the Forbes and Ursula Carlile Scholarship Program. Swimmers are identified and selected for the scholarship program annually based upon results at National Championships meets. The aim of the scholarship program is to identify and support talented athletes that have the potential to be selected on Swimming Australia Senior and Junior teams and squads within the current Olympic period.
In support of the coaching staff the following services are incorporated into the coaching program based upon athlete and squad needs:
Strength & Conditioning - Testing and Prescription
Lactate and Physiological testing
Use of Underwater Camera and feedback systems
Athlete Management System - Smartabase
Swimmer Education - Sport Psychology, Recovery, Nutrition
The Carlile Swimming Team regularly hold Club Race nights, with the aim being to provide an opportunity to expose our younger members to racing in a friendly and supportive environment, while also providing our older swimmers the opportunity to gain qualifying times for Area, State and National meets while putting into practice the skills and techniques learnt in training.
