2020 SUMMER CAMPS

Location:

Thredbo Alpine Village and Australian Institute of Sport,Canberra

Dates:

  • National Performance Squad Camp - 12th to 17th January 2020 (6 days, 5 nights) at Thredbo Alpine Village

  • Age Performance Squad Camp - 13th-17th January 2020 (5 days, 4 nights) at Australian Institute of Sport

  • Junior Performance Squad Camp - 17th-19th January 2020 (3 days, 2 nights) at Australian Institute of Sport

Please Note - During the period of the camp for each squad, training will not be available within the home programs.

CAMP OBJECTIVE

The objective of the 2020 Summer Camp is to create a team atmosphere where swimmers from across the Ryde and Cherrybrook Carlile Competitive Program training sites can get to know and learn from one another within a camp environment.

The camp will kick start training for the second part of the 2019/20 Summer Season and help athletes get back into training following the Christmas and New Year squad break with some fun and hard work.  The camp will include pool and dryland training, education sessions and team building activities.

Transport

Transport to and from the camp will be via a coach service.  The Oakhill College bus bay will be the pick up and return point for all camp attendees.

Meals and Accommodation:

Accommodation will be provided on site at both the AIS and the Thredbo Alpine Hotel throughout the camps.  Details relating to swimmers meal requirements are collected via the club membership registration process, if anything has changed since registering please get in touch with us via swimteam@carlile.com.au

Pricing:

  • National Performance Squad Camp - $645.00

  • Age Performance Squad Camp - $585.00

  • Junior Performance Squad Camp - $240.00

  • A deposit of $150.00 will be required to secure your spot on the camp, with payment of the deposit to be made by 13th October 2019

  • The balancing payment will be required by 8th December 2019

  • Values above are after applying a subsidy of $100.00

Please Note - We will take all measures possible to ensure the pricing does not increase prior to the camp, the final price will be  dependant upon the number of swimmers that take up the opportunity to attend the camp.    Refunds will not be provided for swimmers that withdraw from the camp regardless of the reason following payment of the deposit.

Camp Subsidy

Both the Ryde-Carlile and Carlile Swimming Team will be making a partial subsidy available for swimmers who meet the criteria below:  

To receive a subsidy from the Carlile Swimming Team to attend the 2020 Summer Camp swimmers and/or families must have completed the following:

  • Fulfilled rostered timekeeping duties throughout the 2019 and 2019/20 seasons

  • Assisted in volunteer or technical official roles at Carlile Swimming Team activities and competitions

  • The subsidy for the Carlile Swimming Team will be deducted from the price of the camp at the time of the balancing payment

To receive a subsidy from the Ryde-Carlile Swimming Club to attend the 2020 Summer Camp swimmers and/or families must have completed the following:

  • Fulfilled rostered timekeeping duties throughout the 2019 and 2019/20 seasons

  • Assisted in volunteer or technical official roles at Ryde-Carlile Friday Night Races at minimum on a monthly basis

  • The subsidy to attend the 2020 Summer Camps for Ryde-Carlile Swimming Club members will be reimbursed to the member from the Ryde-Carlile Swimming Club following the camp(s) in January 2020.

Further Information

Following the 1st November further information regarding the camp schedule, packing and equipment list, along with specifics about training, transport and accommodation  will be communicated to those who have indicated they will be attending the camp.
